What is Janitor AI?

Janitor AI is a text roleplay chat with community-made characters and an optional Janitor+ upgrade. We could not confirm the legal operator. Our research dated 20 October 2026 found unlimited standard-model conversations on the free tier and an optional Janitor+ plan. When we went back to re-check, Janitor’s help centre and plan page would not load, so the figures here come from that 20 October check. We did not fill gaps with figures from similarly named sites that are not Janitor AI. Nothing on this page is run by Janitor; SpicyAI only reviews it. Janitor is a browser service, so there is nothing to install before you try it. Janitor+ is billed in US dollars; the ringgit figures here convert the prices from our 20 October 2026 research at RM4.10, and we have not paid for Janitor+ from Malaysia. Treat the local figure as an estimate until you see it at checkout. The interface is English and the service is for adults 18+; the pictured character is fictional.

Is Janitor AI free?

Yes. It is our pick for ongoing free text chat, because Janitor AI lets you chat without a limit on its standard models (as of 20 October 2026). The catch is memory rather than messages: the free tier works with about 9,000 tokens of context, so in a long roleplay the earliest scenes drop out of what the model reads. There is nothing else to unlock, because Janitor has no voice, images or video at any price.

Janitor AI pricing in RM

Janitor+ prices are from our 20 October 2026 research, in USD converted at RM4.10 (Bank Negara Malaysia reference, October 2026). There is one paid plan, offered monthly or yearly.

The yearly Janitor+ bill of approx. RM405.90 is paid in one go and works out at about RM33.83 a month. It only beats monthly billing if you would keep Janitor+ for eight months or more.

Context, memory and models

Janitor+ raises the context to about five times the free tier’s, per our 20 October 2026 research, and that larger window is the main thing it buys. Context here means how much of the conversation the model reads when it writes each reply. Janitor is text only, so there is no voice to assess, and we did not run long test chats, so we make no claim about how consistently characters behave.

Filters and NSFW content

Janitor AI allows NSFW roleplay as well as SFW chat, which is why it is in our adult chat guide. In the UK, Brazil and Australia it checks age through k-ID. Its rules still ban content involving minors, non-consent and illegal material, and this guide adds real people who have not consented; the characters, many made by the community, are fictional and for adults 18+. Janitor+ buys context, not exceptions.

Is there an app?

This review covers Janitor in the browser. Its legal operator is not named on the pages we checked, so an app in a store called Janitor AI cannot be tied to a known publisher. Until Janitor links to a store listing itself, stick to the website.

Refunds and the company behind it

Janitor’s legal operator is not named on the official pages we checked; reports say developer Jan Zoltkowski founded the service in 2023. Without a reachable help centre at our re-check, we could not read refund terms for Janitor+, and we found no current independent rating. Monthly billing keeps the commitment small until you know you will stay.

Who should use Janitor AI?

Janitor AI is the one to try if you want free text roleplay without a message counter: standard models are unlimited on the free tier, with about 9,000 tokens of context. Janitor+ (approx. RM53.26 a month, or RM405.90 a year) mainly buys a larger context. It is text only, and the official plan page would not load at our last check, so confirm the price before paying.

Our score: 4.2 / 5 (provisional). Unlimited free text chat is the reason to use it. Text-only output, an unnamed operator and a plan page we could not reload explain fifth place.
